In our society we have an illusion of control and nothing more.  The vestiges and the trappings of government are there but they are much like an appendix.  We have long since relinquished any true control over our government.

We've heard it before.  Why do we know the middle names of the famous assassins: John Wilkes Booth and James Earl Ray, for example but John Hinckley is just plain old John Hinckley?  I guess someone must actually succeed in killing a president before one rises to a middle name status notoriety.  A brazen attempt on his life that comes remarkably close; a .22 bullet which lodges itself in the president's lung, within inches of his heart somehow doesn't cut it.  It's close, as they say, but no cigar.
John Warnock Hinckley, Jr. was born in Oklahoma in 1955.
(http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/hinckley/hbio.htm)  He comes from an well-to-do family.  His father was chairman of the Vanderbuilt Energy Corporation and his older brother Scott attended Vanderbuilt University and later assumed chairmanship of this company.  Scott Hinckley has close personal ties to Neil Bush and the Hinckley family made significant contributions to Bush's 1980 vice presidential campaign.

Most of us know about Hinckley's much-publicized infactuation with Jodie Foster. What often goes underreported was an equally profound obsession with John Lennon and the Beatles.   In fact, the death of John Lennon was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.  He stalked President Carter repeatedly in the fall of 1980 but he never followed through with his plans to assassinate him.  It seems as if John Lennon's death by firearm was the final catalyst.
According to Hinckley's 1981 New Years Eve monologue he states, "John Lennon is dead. The world is over. Forget it. It's just gonna be insanity, if I even make it through the first few days. "

Taping himself in that way displays a remarkable amount of foresight on Hinckley's part.  Someone could try it sometime.  "Your honor, I'm definitely out of my mind.  And I've got the tape to prove it!" Of course one would not get away with it now.  The laws were re-written after the Hinckley acquittal.
Mark David Chatman and John Warnock Hinckley are both highly troubled individuals.  The psychologists could not see how dangerous they were.  As is often the case, the anti-depressants Hinckley was taking seemed to make the situation worse.  It seems as if there was a force far more powerful than mere insanity compelling them to do what they did.
John Hinckley travelled to New Haven in the fall of 1980 to enroll in a writing seminar at Yale.  It was here that Hinckley attempted to establish contact with Jodi Foster, a 17-year-old freshman.  Referring to New Haven Hinckley stated in his New Year's eve monologue that:
I hate New Haven with a mortal passion. I've been up there many times, not stalking her really, but  just looking after her....
What would cause Hinckley to "hate New Haven with a mortal passion?"  I suspect the delusional loner had a run-in with some Skull and Bones.  He was seen lurking around her dormitory.  Many derisive comments were made about him regarding his strange behavior.  I find it highly unlikely this would have eluded the Skull and Bones' attention.
Hinckley did not stay in New Haven for any extended period of time.  He flew around the country, mostly following the Jimmy Carter re-election campaign.  Of note: the airlines he flew were American and United.

It is not as important where he went during this time period but where it appears he did not go.  In one of his poems, "Amen" Hinckley makes a mysterious reference to Arizona in words which seem to be lifted from an Andrew LLoyd Webber/Tim Rice musical.
Hinckley writes: "Don't cry for me Arizona, the truth is I brought it on myself in a calculated way..."
Evita was at the height of its popularity in the fall of 1980.  There was an LP recording available and it had done an extended run on Broadway.  When we look more closely at Eva Perron and Jodi Foster we find some uncanny similarities and stark differences.  Despite being regarded as a working class heroine, "Clarice" from The Silence of the Lambs, Jodi Foster in reality grew up under privileged circumstances.  She attended an elite Los Angeles high school and then Yale.
Evita's early years are the exact opposite.  Eva grew up literally on the margins of society.  She was frozen out of privileges and opportunities.  It was through sheer ruthlessness and cunning that Eva climbed into the positions of power she enjoyed.  Evita is also a working-class heroine.  The similarities do not end here.
Recall that when Evita was fifteen years old she went to visit an influential tango singer in her town.  The next day she had obtained enough money to travel to Buenos Aires to pursue her dreams.  (Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina and Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay are both situated along the 34th parallel, South.)  Reality meets art: Jodi Foster played a 14-year old prostitute in "Taxi Driver."
Eva and Juan Perron were both Nazi sympathizers.  At the end of World War II they fell from power.  It was through Evita's force of will and the personality cult she developed that Juan Perron was able to regain his power.  After this Argentina gained the reputation of being a haven for former Nazi war criminals.  Madonna, asociated with a mysterious Jewish Kabbala cult, went on to play Evita in a 1996 movie.  In 1998 Jodi Foster gave birth mysteriously to a son although she was not known to be in a relationship with a man at that time.  She refuses to discuss the circumstances of her son's birth.
The picture we begin to see is that of a coordinated effort between Hollywood and Washington, or to be fair, between the media and politics.  Rupert Murdoch, the wizard of Auz, is a key player in all of this.  His Fox News network shamelessly positions itself as the present government's media arm.  However when we look at the Jodi Foster, Evita, Madonna connection we see that the democrats too are no angels in this regard.
Now let's go on to the subject of Arizona.

I have not read anything that records an extensive stay in Arizona.  However, Timothy McVeigh lived there for a brief amount of time.
http://archives.cnn.com/2001/US/03/29/profile.mcveigh
Its death row facility, in Florence, is located on the notorious 33rd parallel.  (http://www.informantnews.com/brief/33rdparallel.html)
(Ironic isn't it that it would be in a town called Florence.  Florence Nightingale is on my lion's list of individuals who were champions in the face of evil.  Recall also the lives she saved during  the Crimean War.)

An unrelated tangent: Hinckley's family was living in Dallas in 1963, at the time of the Kennedy assasination.

One more interesting tidbit that seems to be left out of the story whenever John Hinckley's name comes up: Neal Bush.  George W. Bush's younger brother, was scheduled to have dinner with John Hinckley's older brother Scott the day after John Hinckley shot Reagan.  Apparently the Hinckley family made extensive contributions to Bush Sr.'s vice-presidential campaign.

Neil Bush/Scott Hinckley Connection
Another piece that escapes the newsanchors' attention:  There was another man, named Edward Richardson, who was also an admirer of Jodi Foster, and also intent on assassinating President Reagan.

In summary, there are far too many uncanny coincidences here for this to be a clear-cut case of insanity.  It seems like there were occult forces at work.  The American Psychiatric profession needs to wake up to the fact that demons really do motivate and control some people. New Orleans was baptized with water.  Let's all wake up before it is too late.
